The turquoise this is made with came from the
'LARRY COOLEY'
1950's-'60's mined turquoise collection..Larry was known in the industry as the ‘go-to' turquoise guy’ who was known for having
THE
biggest,the highest quality-the most incredible collection of premium turquoise out of anyone,so that when designers like Federico would come along to buy,he could use these gems for his own jewelry designs.
Federico & Larry were extremely close & were such good friends,so much so that before Larry passed,he requested that his huge & HIGHLY collectible collection of vintage mined turquoise be passed on to Federico because Larry knew that Federico was the best one who would put these stones to the best of their use. Federico of course, put these stones into some of his most incredibly designed pieces you'll ever see (This bracelet is just one example!) & once they're used up,they're gone..(See my Federico necklace,earrings,bracelet listings)
Larry had a big reputation for his turquoise & all you had to do was say "Larry Cooley Turquoise" & that alone, said it all..

I have had these simply

link style bracelets by Federico before &
even though each were equally gorgeous,
I thought that one was better than the last,but I honestly say that none can top this one! (This also comes with a higher price tag than the rest too!) It's one of those "Oh My God-Drop to your Knees" pieces & 'statement' is truly an understatement!
It is designed with a
PREMIUM
"Sampler" pick that is designed where there are 18 rows with 5 stones per panel that are then laid vertically in a panel/link style,which dictates it's statement style width. The advantage's of having a 'sampler' is for the fact, that you are ensured maximum contrast throughout,since your getting all these various colors that our USA mines produce.. There's a variety of different blue tones,with very few green.The stones come from the top Nevada mines,with the majority coming from the "Blue Gem,Pilot Mountain,Blue Diamond,Candelaria,Lone Mountain & Royston" mines.
What contributes to it's uniform look is for the fact that all the stones are evenly matched oval cuts..And from a designers point of view,you can't have a piece of jewelry measure in an even width,without the stones being all the same size.This is what gives it's precise & an evenly designed look.
Each of the 5 stones are soldered on the same sheet of sterling & then are connected to the next with jump rings,so it will fold easily.

THE CLOSURE:
If you zoom in on photos 10,11 you will see where theres a'hidden' closure.What you do is 'push down' on the turquoise cabochon to open.When closed,this stone becomes apart of the design.

FYI:
**Link bracelets are not meant to fit tight & fit differently than cuffs,so even though this has a 8-1/4" length,it will fit on a medium to large boned person..And so you know,the smaller boned you are,it will fall down onto the top of the hand & the larger you are,it will stay in the wrist area.
